This is a full time position based in our office in Malvern, just outside of Philadelphia, PA.
Primary Function
We are seeking a high-performing Finance Director to serve as the senior financial leader for one of our key Business Units (BU). This individual will act as a strategic thought partner to the BU Vice President & General Manager and leadership team, providing financial insight, discipline, and leadership to support profitable growth, operational excellence, and long-term value creation.
As a member of both the Finance and Business Unit leadership teams, the Finance Director will own the full financial agenda—planning, forecasting, performance management, investment analysis, and strategic decision support. This role is responsible for ensuring financial integrity and driving results across the P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow.
The ideal candidate brings a deep understanding of financial management in an operational or commercial context, and excels in leading teams, influencing outcomes, and translating strategy into actionable financial plans. This is a highly visible and impactful leadership role that requires both strategic vision and hands-on execution.
Responsibilities and Duties
• Act as the primary finance business partner to the Business Unit General Manager, influencing strategy and driving execution across the organization.
• Lead the BU’s annual operating plan, strategic financial planning, quarterly forecasts, and monthly performance reviews, ensuring alignment to corporate objectives and delivery of commitments.
• Drive P&L ownership, including revenue growth, margin improvement, cost control, and working capital optimization.
• Analyze and understand the key drivers of operating profit, cash flow, capital expenditures, working capital, and return on invested capital, including the effects of volume, pricing, and cost reductions.
• Deliver data-driven insights and financial analysis to support commercial, operational, and strategic decisions, including pricing, product mix, customer profitability, capital investments, and footprint optimization.
• Proactively identify and mitigate financial risks while surfacing opportunities to drive business performance.
• Lead, develop, and mentor a team of finance professionals supporting the BU.
• Collaborate with corporate and functional finance teams (Controllership, FP&A, Pricing, etc.) to ensure compliance, accuracy, and alignment of financial processes and reporting.
• Serve as a financial steward and culture carrier—promoting accountability, transparency, and continuous improvement throughout the BU.
• Gain external insights and assist in developing leading indicators for the long-term view of the various end markets we serve.
Qualifications and Required Skills
+ Proven experience in managing full P&L ownership and partnering with operational or commercial leadership.
+ Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills; able to present complex ideas clearly and influence across all levels.
+ Demonstrated leadership capability, including building and developing high-performing teams.
+ Proficient in financial systems and tools (e.g., ERP, planning systems, Excel, Power BI).
+ Experience with **U.S. multi-national public company, ideally $1+Billion annual revenue with a global manufacturing firm.**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related degree, CPA or MBA preferred.
• 15+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership roles in FP&A or business finance within an industrial, manufacturing, or technology-driven environment.
+ **Experience with SAP, Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)** a plus.
