What you'll do

+ Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of managers, architects, and developers across global locations

+ Collaborate with cross-functional partners, including IT, Product Management, Analytics, and Business Units, to deliver impactful technology solutions at scale

+ Drive reengineering of business processes and co-create innovative solutions that align with strategic goals

+ Ensure effective resource planning, project estimation, and high-quality, timely delivery of application initiatives

+ Champion a customer and product focused mindset while fostering continuous improvement and operational excellence

+ Enforce technology standards and software development best practices to enhance performance and maintain consistency

+ Identify and eliminate obstacles, effectively communicate across leadership levels, and build strong stakeholder relationships

+ Embrace a growth mindset, prioritizing transformative work over non-differentiating tasks

+ Maintain oversight of project execution, coordinating schedules, multitasking, and ensuring visibility and predictability

+ Willingness to work extended hours or travel as required based on business and operational needs

All you'll need for success

Minimum Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

+ Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

+ 7+ years of full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) experience designing, developing and implementing large-scale applications in hosted production environments

+ 7+ years of experience overseeing enterprise-grade technology projects from inception to implementation

+ 5+ years of experience in microservices architecture, distributed databases, message queues, and database technologies (Relational, NoSQL, Key-Value Stores)

+ Proven track record of delivering high-impact results with urgency, precision, and excellence

Preferred Qualifications- Education & Prior Job Experience

+ Master's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Technology, Information Systems (CIS/MIS), Engineering or related technical discipline, or equivalent experience/training

+ Airline industry experience, including business processes and supporting technology

+ Experience with distributed systems focused on Streaming & Complex Event Processing

+ Proven ability to attract, grow, influence, and motivate technical teams to deliver results and overcome challenges

+ Strong leadership in managing teams with varied skill levels in high-pressure, cross-regional environment and transforming teams to be nimbler in delivering business capabilities

+ Skilled at building strong relationships with IT and business leaders

+ Experience with high-throughput, mission-critical, 24x7 cloud-native distributed systems

+ Proven ability to work with multiple teams, technical solutions, and business domains, with a focus on building action-oriented consensus, with a record of product and solution delivery

+ Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing priorities and work environments

+ Demonstrated ability to thrive in a sense-of-urgency environment and leverage best practices

+ Strategic thinker with sound judgment and metrics backed decision-making skills

+ Skilled in balancing multiple priorities and managing stakeholder expectations

+ Deep understanding of system development life cycles across agile, lean, and waterfall methods

+ Strong technical background in object-oriented programming, data structures, algorithms, and design patterns
