About the Role

The Packaging Technician will contribute to a safe production team performance by monitoring and delivering consistent product quality and line performance across the various tasks of the bottling and packaging process without injury to themselves or their colleagues and provide on-job training and development support for team members.

You will be responsible for:

Safety & Compliance

+ Support and maintain compliance with all company HSE Policies and safe work practices

+ Support and maintain compliance with all BRC, FSQM, and regulatory requirements

Technical & Equipment Operations

+ Safely and effectively operate, change over, troubleshoot, and conduct preventative maintenance on Depalletizer, Case Inserter/Erector, and three pieces of production equipment on the primary assigned line (at least two of these three pieces of equipment must be the Labeler, Filler, or Case Packer)

+ Set up and operate machinery

+ Perform equipment/plant adjustments for product changeovers

+ Perform daily and end-of-week tasks and inspections of machines and work areas as documented in Machine Condition Logs and perform basic equipment maintenance

+ Perform Quality control checks in accordance with Company Operating Procedures

Training & Development

+ Must satisfactorily pass all required technical and safety training required for this role

+ Attend and complete all required Company training, including further training in machines, processes, and tasks to develop skills

Workplace Organization & Teamwork

+ Ensure work area is organized, clean, and tidy always according to 5S principles

+ Undertake work tasks as allocated by Team Leader

+ Provide break relief cover for other team members

+ Perform and deliver an effective and accurate handover at shift change

5. Food Safety & Quality Management

+ Implement and maintain compliance with the food safety and quality management system by reporting food safety hazards and quality problems as they arise

About You

We are seeking someone who is a team player, has 1 year of experience operating machinery, and can work overtime.

+ Mathematical abilities, including the ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure (whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals).

+ Proficiency with a computer application used to track operational efficiency

+ High school diploma or GED

Pay Transparency Disclosure: The base pay range offered for this position is $23.56 to $27.40 per hour and other benefits. These figures represent what we reasonably expect to pay for this position, but the actual compensation offered will depend upon numerous job-related factors, including but not limited to candidate qualifications, skills, experience, education, location, and alignment with market data. Our expectation is that the incumbent will work out of our Sonoma, CA location. If the incumbent works out of another location, the wage rate may fall above or below this range. Treasury reserves the right to modify the range in the future.
