Responsibilities

Provide direct substance abuse patient care.

+ Assist patients with performing activities of daily living.

+ Provide or assist with providing direct patient care, diagnostic procedures and therapeutic interventions.

+ Observe and record patient behavior and activities.

+ Report any changes in condition and suggest modifications to the treatment plan.

+ Establish a therapeutic relationship with assigned patients.

+ Provide assessment and treatment of substance use disorders using evidence based tools and strategies.

+ Coordinate patient care with other members of the healthcare team to ensure effective and efficient patient care delivery and the achievement of desired patient outcomes.

Requirements

Licensure / Certification / Registration:

+ Approved Local Exception preferred.

One or more of the following required:

+ Counselor specializing in Chemical Dependency obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

+ Counselor obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.

Education:

+ High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate'sdegree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required.

Additional Preferences

**Must be a Certified Alcohol and Drug Counselor (CADC)

*Schedule: Monday and Thursday 11:00 am - 7:00 pm, Tuesday or Wednesday 9:00 am - 1:00 pm, and Friday 2:00 pm - 5:00 pm
