Our client, a well-known and top performing private architectural and design firm, is seeking a Commercial Interior & Exterior Design Architect to join their team in the North Austin, TX area. As a Commercial Design Architect, you will be part of the design and project management team supporting commercial architectural projects. The team has been with the company a long time and are excited about a new team member joining them!
The ideal candidate will have strong project management skills, excellent communication abilities, and technical expertise in AutoCAD & Sketchup which will align successfully with the organization. You will have several years' experience in commercial design, both internal and external, and be either currently licensed in the USA or close to finishing your exams. Our client is willing to help professionals complete their hours with their firm. International licensure will be considered if you are in the process of obtaining you Texas license and already sitting your exams.
**Job Title: Architect -** Commercial Interior & Exterior Design
**Location:** North Austin, TX (Onsite)
**Salary:** $75,000 - $80,000 plus annual bonus and incentives
**Benefits** : Yes
**Schedule:** Monday to Thursday with half day Friday (flexible)
Opportunity Details:
+ As a Commercial Design Architect, you will develop architectural plans and designs (interior and exterior) for commercial buildings, ensuring compliance with building codes and functional requirements.
+ Create detailed 2D/3D drawings, specifications, and models to effectively communicate designs to clients and contractors.
+ Oversee the entire project lifecycle, managing budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project completion.
+ Maintain open and effective communication with clients, addressing concerns and providing updates throughout the project.
Qualifications & Experience Needed:
+ Bachelor's of Architecture
+ Master of Science in Sustainable Design a plus but not required
+ At least 2-3 years of commercial internal/external architectural design experience. 5 years overall practical architect experience ideal. This could include residential experience.
+ Licensed Architect in the State of Texas (ARE) or another state and can transfer your license. If not currently licensed, then already sitting your exams and working towards your hours for licensure.
+ Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting) and SketchUp (3D modeling).
+ Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and team members.
Candidates will need to submit a portfolio of their commercial design work plus construction documents before interviewing.
