Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for coordinating, planning and scheduling Facility, Engineering, Safety and Security services. Responsible for clerical functions including typing, filing, correspondence, reports, department minutes, and computer management in accordance with the philosophy, goals, and objectives of Las Palmas Medical Center.

+ Assists in overseeing and scheduling services so systems are inspected and maintained in accordance with regulatory and statutory requirements to include fire protection and monitoring systems.

+ Serves as host to all personnel working within the Department such as contractors, vendors, inspectors, hospital staff, etc.

+ Assists Administrative Director in coordinating contract services as needed.

+ Receives and enters contractor and vendor invoices into the company accounting system.

+ Applies, maintains and files licenses, certificates and insurances. Revises and updates manuals.

+ Serves as Records Liaison for Engineering and Safety Departments; i.e., maintain Joint Commission binders, EOC Committee binders, Emergency Management binders, etc.

+ Communicates, cooperates and performs related duties with other members of hospital staff in a courteous and efficient manner to achieve overall hospital goals and objectives

+ Responds to requests from patients, physicians, visitors, contractors and vendors, in a courteous and efficient manner.

+ Always demonstrates positive interpersonal skills.

+ Documents and files proposals from contractors.

+ Maintains calendar schedule. Other duties as assigned.

Graduation from high school or equivalent, with training or experience in Engineering Administration.
