About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Specialty Software Engineer in Fixed Income Currency and Commodities (FICC) Data Technology as part of Commercial and Corporate & Investment Banking Technology.
This team is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and implementing features that drive the data strategy for the Fixed Income Trading line of business.

In this role, you will:
+ Lead complex initiatives on selected domains
+ Ensure systems are monitored to increase operational efficiency and managed to mitigate risk
+ Define opportunities to maximize resource utilization and improve processes while reducing cost
+ Lead, design, develop, test and implement applications and system components, tools and utilities, models, simulation, and analytics to manage complex business functions using sophisticated technologies
+ Resolve coding, testing and escalated platform issues of a technically challenging nature
+ Lead team to ensure compliance and risk management requirements for supported area are met and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
+ Mentor less experienced software engineers
+ Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
+ Lead team to achieve objectives
+ Partner with production support and platform engineering teams effectively
Required Qualifications:
+ 5+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
+ 5+ years in Core Java experience developing low latency high throughput applications with very high uptime
+ 2+ years' experience with Python, time series databases like One Tick, q/kdb+, Deephaven etc.
+ 3+ year of experience in Capital Markets Technology working on building solutions for electronic trading desk in any of areas like Automated Market Making, Auto-Quoting, Order Management, Smart Order Routers, Market Gateways and Connectivity, Data Collection
+ 3+ years' experience building streaming analytics solutions using Kafka, Grafana and InfluxDB and similar technologies
+ 2+ years of experience in Hadoop, Hive, Spark, Kafka, Kubernetes/OpenShift
Desired Qualifications:
+ Bachelor's and/or Master’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering and/or Mathematics
+ Exposure to multiple Fixed Income asset classes, including Rates, FX, and Spread products like Credit Corps, MBS etc.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, and learning complex subject matter on the fly
+ Exposure to AI, GenAI and Machine Learning algorithms, tools and techniques
+ Strong understanding of how to leverage high-velocity data persistence and reporting for strategy development and monitoring
+ Strong knowledge of AMMs, Market Data Feeds, Order Books, and D2D/D2C trading flows for US Treasuries, Corporate Bonds, Munis and FX
Pay Range
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$126,400.00 - $287,600.00
