    About this role:

    **Wells Fargo is seeking** a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill Cloud Adoption & Enablement Technology Director (M4) role.

     

    This role will lead the strategy and implementation of key security capabilities across Azure and GCP Public Cloud. These capabilities are foundational to ensure safety and soundness as Wells Fargo adopts Public Cloud. As part of the Wells Fargo Technology’s CTO organization within the Application & Cloud Transformation (ACT) team, this role is pivotal in supporting our cloud strategy, delivering technical resources, and establishing best practices that empower developers and teams to fully leverage cloud platforms (Azure, GCP, and OpenShift) safely. This position collaborates with information security, engineering, and architecture teams to enhance the cloud security posture and streamline cloud-native application development across the bank.

    In this role, you will:

    + Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads

    + Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities

    + Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders

    + Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans

    + Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices

    + Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers

    + Identify financial management and strategic resourcing

    + Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives

    + Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent

    + Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation

    + Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers

    + Lead team to achieve objectives

    + Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums

    + Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership

    + Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy

    Required Qualifications:

    + 8+ years of experience implementing security capabilities such as identity access management, cloud security policy, security baselines, key management and firewall

    + 8+ years of experience in cloud adoption, enablement, or technical consulting roles within technology organizations

    + 5+ years of strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift) and hands-on experience with cloud-native development

    + 5+ years of experience with Hashicorp Terraform, Sentinel and Vault

    + 5+ years of proven expertise in solutions architecture and cloud onboarding processes

    + 8+ years of excellent communication skills with a focus on clear documentation and cross-functional collaboration

    + 5+ years of strong analytical skills, with experience in reporting and providing actionable insights from complex data sets

    + 4+ years of Management experience

    Desired Qualifications:

    + Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Azure Security Engineer, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer)

    + Experience in financial services or other highly regulated industries

    + Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and modern CI/CD tooling

    + Demonstrated experience in technical project management or program management related to cloud initiatives

    + Leading change in a large corporate technology environment with a focus on cloud function

    + Experience in collaborating and partnering with other key parts of the organization and drive towards shared goals and success

    + Ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats, at all levels of the organization, including senior executive-level leadership

    + Ability to drive and lead organizational change in a dynamic environment

    + Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members

    + Ability to be proactive, innovative, and creative in meeting customer and enterprise needs

    + Demonstrated experience in building, leading, developing and retaining a high performing team of leaders, strong technical experts and high performing professionals in a cultural environment that achieves results through team member engagement and satisfaction

    + Comfortable with ambiguity and facilitating discussion to explore the best possible solutions and possess the ability to lead

    + Highly effective decision-making/critical thinking/problem solving skills with a collaborative and results-oriented leadership style

    + Recognized internally and externally as a thought leader and subject matter expert

    Pay Range

     

    Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.

     

    $207,900.00 - $431,900.00
