CLINIC SPECIFICS

+ Multi-specialty clinic includes: 6 Family Medicine with 4 advanced practitioners with Integrated Behavioral Health, Anesthesiology, Dermatology, Obstetrics/Gynecology, Occupational Medicine, Ophthalmology, Otolaryngology, Orthopedics, Consultative Pediatrics, General Surgery, and visiting specialties

+ On-site Chronic Disease Management nursing support

+ Nurse Online Triage 24/7

+ EPIC integrated with Essentia system

HOSPITALIST SPECIFICS

+ Essentia Health Virginia Hospital is an 83-bed hospital, Level IV Trauma Center and certified Stroke Ready facility

+ Staffing model of 1 Physician and 1 Advanced Practice Providers (APPs) on days and 1 dedicated physician nocturnist

+ Average team census 24-28 patients, includes admissions.

+ Typical 7-day on, 7-day off schedule throughout the year; 175 shifts is considered full-time. Flexible scheduling

+ Hospitalist-run ICU

+ Requires ventilator management for 24-48hrs. Critical Care consults easily accessible.

+ Additional subspecialty consults easily accessible via phone or telehealth

+ 1 hour away from Essentia Health St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth, which is a Level I tertiary care hospital

+ Procedures not required

+ Full laboratory; radiology to include MRI and CT services

+ Additional inpatient services: General Surgery, ENT, Orthopedic Surgery, Obstetrics/Gynecology

REQUIREMENTS

+ BC/BE Internal Medicine or Family Medicine

+ Essentia Health to provide mentorship

LOCATION

+ Approx. 60 miles North of Duluth, MN.

+ Service area: 30,000 – Virginia Population: 9,000

COMPENSATION

+ $307,317 - $368,464. Hired candidates may be eligible to receive additional compensation in the form of bonuses, quality incentives or production-based compensation.
