    What's the role?

     

    Manage the team’s operations to produce regional capacity recommendations in the form of monthly Build and Development Plan. Collaborate with global teams to ensure coordination and alignment on data management, global initiatives, and issue resolutions. Lead a team of supply planners (Technical/Program Managers), set priorities, manage staff workload and development, and provide coaching. Set direction and strategy for Regional Supply Planning function, track, and report progress, and communicate with the leadership team and across Event Logging System and Google Data Centres. Be the escalation point for decisions, as needed. Lead planning strategic programs and projects in support of operational areas.

    Key Accountabilities:

    + Extract the demand for all inventory needs across the business units assigned and communicate these demands to the supply planning team

    + Ensure timely availability of materials.

    + Drive Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) and lead the meetings for market unit to capture forecasts.

    + Work with partners to ensure adequate inventory levels across the channel to ensure material availability.

    + Work with the business to improve asset management efficiencies and reduce aging inventories.

    + Continuously improve forecasting techniques, method, and approach.

    + Maintain documentation and standard operating procedures for demand planning processes and systems.

    + Conduct current and future forecasting analysis, ensuring forecasting processes and methods are followed.

    + Assemble and analyse all data pertinent to creating forecast (historical sales, market trends, seasonality, promotions, and inventory levels).

    + Make recommended adjustments to forecast and inventory targets based on changes in demand and market trends.

    + Prepare, report, and communicate forecast and inventory measurements to management (forecast accuracy, inventory plan vs. targets).

    + Monitor SKU levels and recommend SKU rationalization initiatives in the future

    + Measure and track supplier performance vs. company expectations.

    + Demonstrate and ensure compliance with Liberty Latin America Privacy Policy, the Customer First Philosophy, all Liberty Latin America policies, and procedures including the Code of Conduct and Liberty safety standards and procedures.

    + Other functions may be assigned.

     

    Directly supervise and provide mentorship to a group of employees in the Supply Chain Department. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

     

    What do you need?

    Knowledge & Experience:

    + Experience managing, growing, and leading teams.

    + Experience working independently while coordinating and synchronizing efforts with other team members and stakeholders.

    + Min 5 years’ experience in relevant field.

    + Ideally educated to degree level or alternate appropriate industry experience.

    + Demonstrable experience of working in a large telecommunication company and in a complex operational environment.

    + Experience in inventory management.

    + Experience in demand planning

    + Experience and appreciation of working in a customer focused environment essential.

    Skills & Abilities:

    + Ability to effectively present information to top management.

    + Ability to analyse and communicate numerical data utilizing analysis capabilities.

    + Knowledge of demand management/forecasting tools, forecasting processes in sales, marketing operations, finance, manufacturing and supply chain issues Knowledge of material and equipment required for the installation of telecommunication services

    + Knowledge of Supply Chain matrices

    + Strong analytical abilities.

    + Timeliness in all actions with quality consciousness towards services received and provided.

    + Strong written and verbal communication skills, ability to form strong business relationships across multiple locations.
