Job Summary
The Sr. Developer role is pivotal in driving the development and optimization of data solutions using Python. The candidate will give to innovative projects that improve data processing capabilities ensuring efficient and scalable solutions that align with the companys strategic goals.
Responsibilities
+ Develop and implement data solutions using BigQuery to optimize data retrieval and processing.
+ Collaborate with multi-functional teams to craft scalable data architectures that meet business requirements.
+ Use Python for scripting and automation to streamline data workflows and improve efficiency.
+ Employ Cloud Dataproc for leading and processing large datasets ensuring high performance and reliability.
+ Leverage Cloud Dataflow to build robust data pipelines that support real-time data processing needs.
+ Ensure data security and compliance with industry standards safeguarding sensitive information.
+ Tackle and resolve technical issues related to data processing and integration minimizing downtime.
+ Provide technical expertise and mentorship to junior developers encouraging a collaborative learning environment.
+ Monitor system performance and implement improvements to enhance data processing speed and accuracy.
+ Participate in code reviews and give to the development of standard processes for data engineering.
+ Stay updated with emerging technologies and trends in data processing to drive innovation within the team.
+ Document processes and solutions to maintain an extensive knowledge base for future reference.
+ Collaborate with team members to understand data needs and deliver solutions that align with business objectives.
Qualifications
+ Possess strong expertise in BigQuery for efficient data management and analysis.
+ Demonstrate proficiency in Python for developing scripts and automating tasks.
+ Have experience with Cloud Dataproc for handling large-scale data processing.
+ Show capability in using Cloud Dataflow for creating multifaceted data pipelines.
+ Exhibit knowledge of data security protocols and compliance standards.
+ Display problem-solving skills to address technical challenges optimally.
+ Hold a bachelors degree in Computer Science or related field with meaningful work experience.
Salary and Other Compensation:
The annual salary for this position is depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
This position is also eligible for Cognizant’s discretionary annual incentive program, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant’s applicable plans.
