Job Title: Assistant Compliance Manager
Job Description
This high-impact role is an exciting opportunity to support a leading global manufacturer in the commercial vehicle industry as an Assistant Manager of Compliance. The position focuses on enhancing corporate compliance in response to evolving regulatory expectations. The role offers a hybrid work schedule, comprehensive benefits, and the chance to work closely with senior leadership on compliance transformation initiatives encompassing risk management, audit coordination, and policy development.
Responsibilities
+ Develop, maintain, and support the enhancement of the corporate compliance program.
+ Coordinate and perform audits/reviews to ensure compliance with established laws, regulations, company policies and procedures, and managerial guidelines.
+ Investigate reports of alleged noncompliance as necessary.
+ Conduct JSOX auditing, reporting, and compliance activities.
+ Develop compliance program components including policies, procedures, code of conduct, guidelines, presentations, auditing and monitoring plans, and compliance committee regular meetings.
+ Create detailed compliance audit/review schedules to be updated quarterly.
+ Develop an annual compliance plan, including a risk matrix identifying potential regulatory compliance obligations and prioritizing areas for assessment.
+ Advise management on regulatory trends and changes in law affecting core business activities.
+ Support the JSOX compliance program through scoping, testing, reviewing, and reporting.
Essential Skills
+ Experience in compliance regulations and management.
+ Skilled in audit and risk assessment, especially within manufacturing or regulated industries.
+ Ability to assess and update compliance policies and procedures.
+ Familiarity with compliance frameworks such as ISO, COSO, or DOJ guidance.
+ Strong writing skills for drafting, revising, and maintaining compliance documentation.
+ Capability to lead weekly meetings with department heads and translate legal/compliance requirements into practical guidance.
+ Organized and detail-oriented project management experience across departments.
+ Proficient in tools like SharePoint and Confluence.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ 3+ years of experience in compliance, internal audit, or legal operations.
+ Familiarity with JSOX or SOX 404, internal controls, and audit processes.
+ Degree in Law, Business, Accounting, or related field; CCEP or similar certification preferred.
+ Experience in automotive, manufacturing, or regulated industries.
+ Passion for the job and ability to take initiative.
+ Strong communication skills and ability to prioritize and meet deadlines.
Work Environment
This position offers hybrid flexibility, requiring three days in the office per week, with mandatory attendance on Wednesdays. Employees have the option to choose two additional days for onsite work. The work environment fosters collaboration with a respected global brand in the automotive sector.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $55.28/hr.
