    The Town of Gilbert is seeking a talented and driven Technology and Performance Analyst to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in enhancing our performance management program and driving digital transformation through data storytelling, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies. You will be instrumental in embedding a culture of continuous improvement through data-driven insights and digital innovation.

     

    As a Technology and Performance Analyst , you will work closely with our Chief AI Strategy and Transformation Officer and Core Performance Manager to drive change and support Gilbert’s strategic objective of becoming the City of the Future. You will assist with the design, development, and maintenance of performance measurement frameworks and dashboards, collaborate with departments to establish meaningful key performance indicators (KPIs), and support IT with data governance and data quality standards across departments.

    Key Responsibilities:

    + Develop and maintain performance dashboards and tracking tools to enable real-time insights into service effectiveness.

    + Research and assess new technologies (e.g., Generative AI, IoT, RPA, digital twins) for potential application.

    + Assist in the development and deployment of AI-powered solutions while ensuring ethical use and transparency.

    About You

    + Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems, public administration, or a related field.

    + 3-5 years of relevant experience in the public or private sector.

    + Analytical skills and a working knowledge of data visualization tools, such as Tableau, PowerBI, and/or ESRI.

    + Demonstrated experience in performance analysis, KPI metrics, and/or business reports.

    + Strong understanding of AI and its practical application in service delivery or public policy context.

    + Experience with digital tools, data systems, and emerging technology.

    + Exceptional written and oral communication, including the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

    Preferred:

    + Experience working in or with local government or public sector organizations.

    + Familiarity with agile project management methodologies or service design approaches.

    + A working knowledge or process improvement techniques.
