    Trauma Clinician/Coordinator (RN) - Trauma

    **Work location:** Texas Health Dallas, 8200 Walnut Hill Lane, Dallas, TX 75231

    **Work hours:** Full Time/Weekends; Friday, Saturday, Sunday; 12-hour shifts (1P-1A or 3P-3A) for 36 hrs/week

    Trauma Department Highlights:

    • Works closely with multidisciplinary team to improve patient outcomes

    Here’s What You Need:

    • 3 years in Trauma/Surgical Intensive Care and/or Emergency Department related experience required

    • Current or previous experience from a Level 1 or 2 Trauma Center strongly preferred

    • 5 years of ER or Critical Care experience strongly preferred

    • RN – Registered Nurse upon hire required and

    • BCLS – Basic Life Support required and

    • ACLS – Advanced Cardiac Life Support within 90 days required and

    • PALS – Pediatric Advanced Life Support within 90 days required or

    • ENPC – Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course upon hire and

    • TNCC – Trauma Nursing Core Course upon hire or

    • ATCN – Advanced Trauma Care Nurse upon hire

    What You Will Do:

    • Collaborates with Leadership, and appropriate team members to establish, implement, and monitor department policies/procedures, facilitate unit goals, evaluate and individualize patient care and provide direction to staff to promote quality outcomes.

    • Provides safe direct patient care in coordination with other staff when unit activity dictates.

    • Manages and monitors patient and staff safety initiatives and outcomes.

    • Promotes staff development and awareness in cultural awareness & communication skills in caring for patients by fostering interdisciplinary involvement and decision making in process of patient care.

    • Collaborate with manager and educator or CNS to provide staff orientation, education and on-going competency assessment.

    • Effectively evaluate the care while rounding, to ensure the patient’s needs are being addressed to ensure a high-quality experience
