Job Title: Boiler/HVAC Technician
Job Description
As a Boiler Technician, you will be responsible for maintaining, operating, and servicing systems at the plant, including ammonia refrigeration machinery, steam boilers, and compressed air systems. You will ensure compliance with good manufacturing practices, USDA and OSHA policies, and food handling procedures. This role typically involves indoor work, with potential exposure to chemicals and extreme temperatures when servicing equipment.
Responsibilities
+ Maintain and operate ammonia refrigeration machinery, steam boilers, and compressed air systems.
+ Troubleshoot, repair, and install equipment as needed.
+ Observe and adhere to good manufacturing practices, USDA, and OSHA policies.
+ Ensure compliance with food handling procedures.
Essential Skills
+ Associate’s Degree in HVAC preferred or two years equivalent experience in HVAC field.
+ High School Diploma or GED required.
+ Good general mechanical skills.
+ Experience with industrial refrigeration (ammonia) is ideal.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Any kind of HVAC experience (home/auto), utility, or industrial maintenance experience is desired.
Work Environment
The position operates on a night shift from 10 PM to 6 AM. The work environment is primarily indoors with potential exposure to chemicals and extreme temperatures. Employees enjoy company benefits and can purchase pizzas at cost, with pizzas frequently available in the break rooms.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $33.00/hr.
