We are seeking a highly skilled Test and Development Technician to join our team and play a key role in shaping the future of autonomous vehicles.
Responsibilities
+ Design, develop, and test autonomous drive systems, including hardware and software components.
+ Work closely with our mechanical engineering team to create and execute test plans, using expertise in mechanical engineering technology and spatial awareness.
+ Perform hardware rework, prototype fabrication, and component testing according to work instructions and procedures.
+ Troubleshoot and debug test systems and automation solutions from a hardware and software perspective.
+ Analyze test results, write test reports, and collaborate with the team to implement improvements.
+ Design, develop, and execute manual test cases using functional requirements.
+ Construct test fixtures and execute testing in a lab environment.
+ Work with Linux environments (e.g., Ubuntu) and proficiently utilize command-line interfaces.
+ Utilize Python and shell scripting skills to automate testing and validation tasks.
+ Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, reproduce, and troubleshoot issues.
+ Author detailed test/bug reports and provide actionable recommendations for improvement.
+ Manage drive units and sensors, including new unit development and existing unit support.
+ Design and execute tests for various scenarios, including low-light conditions and sensor testing.
Essential Skills
+ Proficiency in Python and shell scripting.
+ Experience working in a Linux environment (Ubuntu or similar).
+ Familiarity with hardware and embedded systems, electronics, and basic electronics lab equipment.
+ Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
+ Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
+ Experience in mechanical testing and test engineering.
+ Proficient in the use of Solidworks and test equipment.
+ Knowledge of material handling and mechanical systems.
Work Environment
The position involves working in a dynamic and innovative lab environment, utilizing advanced technologies and equipment. Candidates will engage in both collaborative team settings and independent tasks, requiring a hands-on approach with test fixtures and drive units. The role demands adaptability to changing scenarios and problem-solving in varied environmental conditions.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $79000.00 - $105000.00/hr.
