    Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob Description

     

    Join a dynamic team as a Field Service Technician, where you will play a crucial role in providing on-site technical assistance to customers across diverse industries. Your expertise will be instrumental in pre-design inspections, pre-installation planning, post-installation commissioning, and ongoing preventive maintenance. This position offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge surface heaters, temperature controllers, and insulators, ensuring optimal performance and customer satisfaction.

    Responsibilities

    + Schedule field service calls and arrange travel plans to meet company and customer objectives.

    + Install, commission, and verify the performance of products and solutions at the customer's site.

    + Troubleshoot existing equipment to ensure proper operation and customer satisfaction.

    + Provide customer on-site training and support.

    + Perform preventative maintenance on systems per the service agreement.

    + Provide feedback to engineering and sales management regarding actions taken on each customer visit.

    + Assist with new bid installation, drawing, and measure project reviews.

    + Assist sales and application engineering with approval process or revisions as needed.

    + Coordinate inventory and orders for spare parts and products with sales coordinators.

    + Provide technical support to customers over the phone and via email/chat.

    + Participate in joint sales calls with account managers or application engineers.

    + Provide RMA or Customer Feedback reports for issues found in the field.

    + Maintain clean and safe environments for associates, customers, and other contractors when on-site.

    + Follow and maintain all safety and documentation requirements when on customer sites.

    Essential Skills

    + High School Diploma required in Electrical or Mechanical.

    + Experience with customer interfacing.

    + Experience with measurement tools and small hand/power tools.

    + Ability to read and interpret blueprints and wiring schematics.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience related to electrical heating products and temperature controllers is a plus.

    + Associates or Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical is a plus.

    + 2 or more years of experience in a field service role is desired.

    Work Environment

    Work with a medium-sized manufacturing company at their Columbus headquarters. The role involves providing on-site technical assistance to customers in a variety of industries and environments. Expect to travel up to 50% of the time and adhere to safety standards, ensuring a clean and secure environment for all involved.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $21.63 - $32.00/hr.
