Manufacturing Operator II - 2nd Shift
This role is a 52-week contract position located in Frederick, Maryland at a biopharmaceutical manufacturing company! The Manufacturing Operator will be an evening shift (2nd shift) paying $21.09 per hour.
Job Description
Join our Microbiology Division and contribute to the production of products that make a significant impact. As a Manufacturing Operator II, you will be involved in the manufacturing process of agars, ensuring quality and efficiency in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
+ Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery, perform simple maintenance, and report malfunctioning equipment immediately.
+ Set up and adjust machinery to accommodate different production sizes.
+ Obtain required materials from the warehouse or staging area.
+ Organize production flow, ensure material availability, estimate progress, and schedule breaks according to the production timeline.
+ Accurately document work, check for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with inventory processes.
+ Dispense required additives to media, perform pH balance techniques, and investigate and resolve production issues.
+ Follow all written procedures and report any discrepancies in SOPs, DHRs, etc., to the Area Supervisor.
+ Perform all work activities safely and wear personal protective equipment as required.
+ Report property damage and safety hazards to Human Resources, Safety Specialist, or Management immediately.
+ Complete production assignments on time in accordance with departmental schedules.
+ Sign off on DHRs and fill in pertinent information according to SOPs.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned.
Essential Skills
+ High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
+ Proficiency in English for both written and verbal communication.
+ Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 600 lbs. wheeled kettles.
+ Ability to stand for sustained periods of time, approximately 10 hours a day.
+ Good vision and attention to detail.

Work hours are structured around the 2nd shift schedule.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.
