Job Title: Maintenance Mechanic
Job Description:
We are looking for a highly skilled Diesel Maintenance Mechanic to join our team and ensure the optimal performance of diesel-powered equipment and heavy machinery. This role focuses on the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and mechanical components used in a high-demand industrial environment.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Diagnose, repair, and maintain diesel engines on heavy equipment, including forklifts, cranes, travel lifts, and mixer trucks.
+ Perform preventive maintenance on diesel-powered systems, including fuel systems, cooling systems, and exhaust systems.
+ Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems, compressors, pumps, and gearboxes.
+ Install, maintain, and repair mechanical components such as conveyors, bearings, and EOT cranes.
+ Read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and blueprints to perform accurate repairs.
+ Conduct inspections to identify wear, leaks, or mechanical failures and implement corrective actions.
+ Operate and inspect material handling equipment including forklifts, aerial lifts, and pickup trucks.
+ Collaborate with maintenance and engineering teams on equipment upgrades and modifications.
+ Maintain accurate maintenance logs and communicate completed tasks clearly in written or digital formats.
+ Adhere to OSHA safety standards and company protocols in all maintenance activities.
Essential Skills:
+ Strong background in diesel engine diagnostics and repair.
+ Experience with hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems in an industrial or construction setting.
+ Skilled in preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of heavy equipment.
+ Proficient in using hand and power tools, welding, and reading schematics.
+ Familiarity with3-phase electrical systems, PLC troubleshooting, and industrial controls is a plus.
Additional Qualifications:
+ High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in diesel mechanics or industrial maintenance preferred.
+ Valid driver’s license; CDL is a plus.
+ OSHA safety training and forklift certification preferred.
+ Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift up to 50 lbs.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $35.00/hr.
