Industrial Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for troubleshooting and repairing all mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic equipment in the plant without direct supervision. This includes, but is not limited to, CNC machines, presses, and horizontal saws. The role requires close collaboration with machine operators, upper management, quality control, outside vendors, and other employees in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

+ Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical problems and recommend solutions.

+ Repair all equipment in the plant.

+ Disassemble and assemble equipment as needed.

+ Assist other maintenance team members.

+ Follow proper procedures for lockout/tagout of any equipment to be worked on.

+ Follow preventive maintenance schedules for the shift.

+ Accurately document repairs made using the CMMS program.

+ Assist in other duties as assigned by management.

Essential Skills

+ At least 5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

+ Experience troubleshooting mechanical breakdowns such as motors, hydraulics, and pneumatics.

+ Ability to run, install, rewire, and repair AC or DC control panels or circuitry in the facility.

+ Proficiency in documenting tasks through the CMMS system.

+ Compliance with all company safety policies and rules.

+ Ability to read, understand, correct, or modify blueprints.

+ Capability to operate a lift truck and overhead crane.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

+ Journeyman Millwright certification.

+ Journeyman Electrician certification.

Work Environment

The work environment involves heavy industrial areas, including a temperature-controlled CNC area and a non-temperature-controlled metal forging/cutting area. Shifts available are 1st Shift: 6 am - 2 pm Monday-Friday and 3rd Shift: 8 pm - 6 am Sunday-Thursday. Some weekend work may be required. The dress code includes metatarsal boots, jeans, and a t-shirt.

The pay range for this position is $64480.00 - $64480.00/yr.
