ManTech is currently looking for a **Software Engineer** to join our team in the **Ft. Meade, MD** area. In this role, you will provide support for implementation, troubleshooting and maintenance of IT systems as well as manage IT system infrastructure and any processes related to these systems.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

+ Responsible for analyzing user requirements to derive software design and performance requirements.

+ Will design and code new software or modify existing software to add new features, debug existing software and correct defects while integrating existing software into new or modified systems or operating environments.

+ Will design, develop and modify software systems, using scientific analysis and mathematical models to predict and measure outcome and consequences of design. Will develop simple data queries for existing or proposed databases or data repositories and will develop or implement algorithms to meet or exceed system performance and functional standards.

+ Responsible for developing software solutions by analyzing system performance standards, conferring with users or system engineers. Responsible for analyzing systems flow, data usage and work processes and investigating problem areas.

+ Will confer with system engineers and hardware engineers to derive software requirements and to obtain information on project limitations and capabilities, performance requirements and interfaces

+ Will design or implement complex algorithms requiring adherence to strict timing, system resource, or interface constraints. Will also design or implement complex database or data repository interfaces/queries while overseeing one or more software development teams and ensures the work is completed in accordance with the constraints of the software development process being used on any particular project

Minimum Qualifications:

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related discipline from an accredited college or university. 4 years of additional related experience may be substituted for a degree.

+ 14 years of related experience.

+ Experience writing PKI certificate management software and building and maintaining PKl Certification Authorities

Security Clearance Requirements:

+ Must have a current/active TS/SCI and be willing and able to obtain a Polygraph as needed

Physical Requirements:

+ Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%.

+ Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine and computer printer.

+ The person in this position frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
