    POSITION TO BE FILLED IN EITHER THE MSHDA LANSING OR DETROIT OFFICE

    The Manager of Special Programs and Project Closings is responsible for the hiring, training, supervision, management, and annual evaluation of staff members assigned to their unit. Specifically, this position is responsible for managing the Closing and Draw process for MSHDA loans and managing the staff that review and approve disbursement schedules and applications for disbursement in accordance with Authority policy. This position will also manage Special Programs such as Missing Middle, Housing TIF, Employer Assisted Housing, and Tribal Nations Housing Development Assistance Predevelopment and the staff that are assigned to this area. The person in this position will remain current with MSHDA policies for a number of different programs assuring that procedures are followed, and that staff are trained in how to implement the changes. The position will assign work and provide guidance to staff to ensure that processing goals are met. This position will work with other stakeholders to collaborate on best practices and management of work-flow so that productivity can be maximized. The program manager will also interact daily with external partners in order to communicate important program information and assist with issues that may arise in the course of the administration of the programs. The program manager will also work with various internal staff (such as other RD staff, senior management, and legal) to seek assistance where needed in order to ensure that the programs are running effectively and efficiently

    Required Education and Experience

    Education

    Possession of a bachelor's degree or higher in any major with at least 12 semester (18 term) credits in one or a combination of the following: accounting, finance, or economics.

    Experience

    Four years of professional experience providing a systematic review, analysis, interpretation, and/or evaluation of budgets, mortgages, loans, or other financial data equivalent to a Financial Analyst, including two years equivalent to a Financial Analyst P11 or one year equivalent to a Financial Analyst 12 or Financial Manager 12.
