Our school days runs for 6:50AM - 2:30PM (one day a week until 4:30 for planning)
REACH is a family like atmosphere - we like to celebrate events together and often surprise our staff with lunches or tokens of our appreciation.
We have a very competitive salary scale that pays higher than most local districts. Our starting salary for a 1st year teacher with no prior experience starts at $45,000, with valid teaching certification and $40,000 if working towards teaching certification. Salary increases with years of prior experience. Will give up to 10 years of prior credit.
REACH pays 80% of health, dental and vision coverage. The Employee pays 20%

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Design and implement engaging, student-centered lesson plans that align with REACH curriculum, incorporating small-group, center-based instructional strategies.
+ Deliver high-quality instruction using diverse methodologies and available classroom technologies to meet student needs.
+ Consistently assess student performance and monitor progress toward mastery of state standards.
+ Serve as a positive role model by fostering a motivating and respectful classroom environment.
+ Maintain accurate and up-to-date records for attendance, student assessments, lesson planning, and parent communication.
+ Communicate regularly with families to provide updates on student progress and collaborate in supporting academic growth.
+ Establish and maintain a safe, structured, and inclusive classroom environment through effective classroom management practices.
+ Execute daily instructional plans and adhere to assigned teaching schedules and responsibilities.
+ Implement all school-wide routines and procedures with consistency and fidelity.
+ Submit timely lesson and unit plans in alignment with curriculum goals.
+ Develop dynamic and inspiring lessons that promote active learning and intellectual curiosity.
+ Maintain the physical and mental stamina necessary to engage energetically with young learners throughout the school day.
+ Collaborate in the creation and execution of Response to Intervention (RtI) plans for students requiring additional support.
+ Participate actively in professional development opportunities, coaching sessions, and collaborative planning meetings.
+ Apply feedback from instructional coaches to continuously refine and enhance teaching practices.
+ Regularly analyze student data and engage in self-reflection to inform instruction and drive continuous improvement.
+ Perform additional duties as assigned by the Head of School.
Qualifications/Education and/or Experience
Teachers must hold a NYS professional teaching certificate in their subject area or be eligible for reciprocity or working towards completion of a certificate to include (1) Minimum Bachelor's degree in subject area to be taught, Master's Degree preferred; (2) Proven track-record of high achievement in the classroom and commitment to accountability preferred ; (3) Belief in and alignment with REACH Academy Charter School core beliefs and educational philosophy; (4) Valid New York State Certification, except in cases where the Head of School shall make an exception under the terms of this Policy, in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations.
Salary
In accordance with REACH Academy Charter School's salary step scale and verification of prior years of teaching. Step 1 starts at $45,000 and Step 11 is $65,830. You must have a valid teaching certificate to start on the salary steps or be working towards completion of certification.
