Job Description:
+ Participate in the development of annual and monthly projections for sales budgeting process
+ Submit appropriate reports on a timely basis such as but not limited to:
+ Customer complaints
+ Expenses as needed
+ Make cold calls on the phone or in person
+ Assist at trade shows in the booth and on the floor
+ Assist with the preparation of business plan presentations with outside team members
+ Open new accounts with proper paperwork (credit application process)
+ Problem-solving all customer issues and concern—all customer service issues, interface with various internal departments, including purchasing, quality control and accounting
+ Routing opportunities to the appropriate sales executive for further development and closure
+ Product knowledge to answer customer questions (training provided)
Use oral communication and best practices in customer services when interacting with customers
+ Grow and develop business by servicing customers with the following:
+ Quotations, Negotiating customer and vendor pricing/releases
+ Sourcing options
+ Cost savings opportunities
+ Service options (VMI programs, automated vending solutions, etc.)
+ Develop sales opportunities by identifying potential accounts and services.
+ Identify industry trends and prospective business opportunities.
+ Generate new leads through direct communication with customer contacts and schedule meetings with potential customers accordingly.
+ Meet with the customer to review the status of an account, review new opportunities, and obtain performance reviews.
Skills Required:
+ High School graduate or equivalent experience (or in-house training will be provided) Basic math, fractions & decimals
+ 2 – 5 years fastener sales (preferred)
+ Navy Mil-Spec fastener experience
+ Ability to make work independently
+ Ability to work effectively under strict deadlines
+ Willingness to learn a new business/industry
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Computer literate (Excel, Outlook, Word, etc.)
