    STOCKROOM ATTENDANT LEAD - ATHLETICS DINING PROGRAM

    POSITION PURPOSE

    Lead the operation of a high-volume stockroom that supports the Don James Center Training Table and Athletics Production Kitchen in support of day-to-day culinary operations for UW Intercollegiate Athletics (ICA) dining services. Providing nutrition to power performance, the Don James Center team provides meals and programming that meet the needs of UW Athletes and teams through nutritionally optimal meals and associated services for athletes and coaches.

    DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

    + Receive, issue, store and inventory supplies in an organization stockroom in accordance with established policies and objectives for both the Don James Center Training Table and Athletics Production Kitchen.

    + Monitor movement of stock and supplies. Obtain estimates of future needs from users. Coordinate orders from multiple leads and stations.

    + Manage inventorial assets within the work location, including insuring proper tag inventory as outlined by state procedures.

    + Plan and organize work and determine the methods which will be used to complete work.

    + Plan and organize work, including coordinating orders from unit leads from two food service platforms.

    + Act as primary point of contact to vendor representatives and delivery drivers, coordinating deliveries.

    + Assign, instruct and check the work of student employees and food service workers in the receiving, and storage of goods.

    + Receive and fill day-to-day requisitions from Athletics Dining platforms.

    + Store merchandise received in refrigerators, freezers or storage rooms according to inventory storage locations and food handling guidelines. Rotate stock so that older items are used first. Insure that box labels are facing outward.

    + Maintain compliance with state and institution policies regarding receipt, issuance and inventory of supplies, materials and equipment. Notify superior when necessary to reorder inventory.

    + Maintain inventory and ordering records and/or cost records and periodically take physical inventories.

    + Weigh all received stock sold by weight.

    + May use a UW vehicle to move product or equipment between different facilities and operational areas.

    + Rearrange stock to accommodate inventory movement and use hand dollies and pallet jacks to move stock and equipment.

    + Maintain stockroom areas, including custodial responsibilities and disposal of surplus materials.

    + Perform data input into CBORD FSS system following established protocols, including orders, invoices, inventory, and transfers. Identify and escalate suspected errors or issues to manager or Dining Systems.

    + Generate and print reports or worksheets from CBORD FSS system, including order guides and tally sheets.

    + Take inventory counts using tally sheets from CBORD FSS system.

    + Perform related duties as assigned. **POSITION DIMENSIONS** Position involves lifting and working in extremely hot and cold environments. Knowledge required is beyond regular stockroom work in that the position must know how foods received and stored are to look, considering expiration date, appearance and temperature. **MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS**

    + High school graduation or equivalent.

    + One year of full-time experience in retail selling, shipping, and receiving or warehouse work or as a Stockroom Attendant II or equivalent education/experience. **CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**

    + A satisfactory outcome from the employment reference check processes and education verification.

    + Possession of a Washington State Food Worker’s Card required within two weeks of employment and maintenance thereafter.

    + Possession and maintenance of a valid State of Washington Driver’s License.
