    Certified Surgical Technologist

     

    Shift: PRN, Day shift/ night shift, FLEXIBLE scheduling hours (8,10 & 12/hr shifts available).

     

    As a Surg Tech at **Tennova Healthcare-Clarksville** you’ll play a vital role in doing what you do best- providing quality care to our patients.

    Requirements:

    + BLS certification required

    + Holds current and active Surgical Technician Certification (CST) established by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA).

    + Familiar with standard concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field.

    About the Job:

    + Prepares and maintains medical equipment for surgical procedures. Follows hospital regulations and industry procedures to tend to patient during pre-operation procedures.

    + Performs pre-operation preparations to the patient's skin, body and medical equipment. May be required to transport patient to and from the operating room.

    + Possesses expertise in the theory and application of sterile and aseptic technique, knowledge of human anatomy, surgical procedures, and implementation tools and technologies to facilitate a physician's performance of invasive therapeutic and diagnostic procedures.
