Position Summary & Location

Acuity Brands is hiring a Focus Factory Cell Leader in Dallas, TX to help drive continuous improvement processes in alignment with our Better, Smarter, Faster operating system.

This position works on site full-time from Dallas, TX (75261).

Primary Responsibilities Include

+ Leading and developing 20+ non-exempt employees in Better Smarter Faster tools.

+ Driving safety, quality, and productivity performance in accordance with BSF and End User satisfaction.

+ Determining daily manpower and work assignments for employees to adjust for fluctuations in demand.

+ Working shifts, including weekends, without additional Leadership support.

Qualifications

+ High School diploma or equivalent is required. Technical or Bachelors' Degree is preferred.

+ 3+ years of experience from a high-volume cellular facility is required. Preferably from a manufacturing or distribution environment.

+ 2+ years of previous leadership experience from a production setting is required.

+ Experience with continuous improvement tools, including leading Kaizens is required.

+ Experience in problem solving, KPI bowler, Pareto charts and RCCM, communication and conflict resolution is required.

+ Experience driving to a poka yoke process to ensure inventory accuracy is highly preferred.

+ Must be proficient with Microsoft Office programs including Excel.

+ Able to read, write and speak English.

+ Able to stand 10-12 hrs per day, lift, push, pull up to 40 pounds frequently.

+ Able to see, hear and comprehend in a noisy environment.

+ Able to tolerate temperature ranges of forty - ninety degrees F.

+ Able to work other shifts and/or weekend hours.
