Are you ready to take on a key role in aerospace electronics? As a Senior Technician at our Rockford location, you’ll play a vital part in supporting cutting-edge research and development projects. You’ll apply your expertise to create and refine production processes, build engineering prototypes, and deliver results to both internal and external customers.

In this role, you’ll directly influence new product design, quality, and cost—offering valuable input to engineering teams along the way. Your day-to-day work will include fabricating, assembling, and prototyping power and signal-level electronic assemblies, test equipment cabinets, and modifying printed wiring board assemblies.

What You Will Do

+ Fabricate metal and plastic components.

+ Assemble test equipment and mechanical systems.

+ Prototype electronic assemblies for engineering, qualification, and R&D.

+ Build wire harnesses.

+ Assemble printed circuit boards (PCBs).

Qualifications You Must Have

+ Typically requires HS Diploma or AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We prefer

+ Knowledge in electronics, reading assembly drawings, schematics, engineering specifications, analog and digital circuit operations

+ Knowledge of proper soldering techniques and assembly skills are required (IPC standard certification preferred)

+ Fabrication skills in with metal, using band saw, mill, lathe and other fabrication equipment

+ Manufacturing knowledge, soldering, harnesses & unit builds.

+ Experience coordinating and managing projects

+ Support engineering testing by executing Acceptance Test Procedures (ATP) in accordance with provided engineering specifications.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Access, with experience in database design, query creation, and report generation

**Onsite** : Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 40,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
