What You Will Be Doing
Join Lockheed Martin Aeronautics at Hill Air Force Base as an experienced F\-16 Aircraft Software System Test Engineer\. In this strategic role, you’ll serve as a Software/Hardware Subject Matter Expert \(SME\) within the Ogden Air Logistic Complex software maintenance group, where you will help design, develop, and validate software for the F\-16’s Operational Flight Program \(OFP\) and subsystem flight computers\. Your contributions will directly enhance aircraft performance and mission readiness, supporting critical operations that impact national security and global stability\.
Key Responsibilities
• Provide on\-site technical support in the development of aircraft OFPs\.
• Develop subsystem and system level requirements, monitor software implementation, and coordinate processes with flight test and operational F\-16 units\.
• Coordinate and communicate with software test team members to plan and execute tests across the spectrum of the development processes\.
• Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes\.
• Effectively communicate discovered OFP anomalies and defects\.
• Support Interface Control Working Group \(ICWG\) and User Group meetings\. Document findings and results in accordance with established development and configuration management processes\.
• This position may require occasional travel\.
• Must be a U\.S\. citizen\. Must possess a Secret Security Clearance\. This position is located at a facility that requires special access\.
• Contribute to engineering feasibility studies that lead to recommendations for software upgrades and modifications to maximize aircraft capabilities\.
• Provide technical input while participating in weapons integration/development, meetings and conferences such as Interface Control Working Groups \(ICWG\), Technical Interchange Meetings \(TIM\), Flight Test Plan Working Groups \(TPWG\) and any other relevant teams\.
• Work with development vendors to accomplish System Integration Lab \(SIL\) testing\.

Basic Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree
• Software and hardware design and integration experience\.
• Experience with problem solving, root cause analysis, and troubleshooting\.
• Experience with technical writing, editing, and presenting\.
• Experience with Microsoft Office applications \(Word, Excel and PowerPoint, Access, etc\.\)
• Experience using SCRUM and/or Kanban for software development\.
• Experience as a Product Owner in an agile software development environment\.
Desired Skills:
• Knowledge of F\-16 aircraft avionics systems including Pilot Vehicle Interfaces \(PVI\), internal electronic bus structure, and subsystem integration operations\.
• Significant knowledge of and experience with the Center Display Unit \(CDU\) cockpit sub\-system on F\-16 aircraft\.
• Extensive knowledge of F\-16 aircraft sub\-systems, weapon systems, sensors and how they integrate with on\-board computer processors\.
• Ability to effectively interface with civilian government, DoD, and industry representatives\.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills\.
• Able to thrive in a fast\-paced team environment\.
• Knowledge of U\.S\. military tactical aviation operations\.
**Security Clearance Statement:** This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration\.
**Clearance Level:** Secret

**Ability to Work Remotely:** Onsite Full\-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility\.
**Work Schedules:** Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees\. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed\. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits\.
**Schedule for this Position:** 9x80 every other Friday off
