Day-To-Day:
A client of Insight Global is looking to hire a M&P Engineer to sit fully onsite in Middle River, MD. The day-to-day work of a Materials and Process Engineer involves a dynamic mix of hands-on and administrative tasks. In the lab, engineers build and test materials, using specialized equipment for material creation and production. They also manage external vendors, handling quotes and ensuring outsourced manufacturing meets required specifications. Documentation is a key part of the role, including writing statements of work (SOW) and test plans to guide projects. Testing and developing new materials is a core responsibility, requiring rigorous experimentation to optimize material properties and performance. This blend of practical work, technical problem-solving, and project management makes the role both engaging and impactful.
Compensation:
$24/hr to $28/hr.
Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.
Employees in this role will enjoy a comprehensive benefits package starting on day one of employment, including options for medical, dental, and vision insurance. Eligibility to enroll in the 401(k) retirement plan begins after 90 days of employment. Additionally, employees in this role will have access to paid sick leave and other paid time off benefits as required under the applicable law of the worksite location.

Skills and Requirements
- Bachelors Degree in Materials Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or similar field
- 1-5 years of experience working with materials
- Knowledge of adhesives, composites, metallics, polymers, or high temperature materials
- Familiarity with CAD tools CATIA, Solidworks, or NX
- Experience or comfortability with supporting research and development for composite materials, processes, and equipment
- Experience supporting test plan execution of materials or parts
- Ability to be hands on with materials, using equipment to build parts null
