The Delta Air Lines Digital team is seeking a dynamic Technical Consultant, Digital Tools to enhance our digital tools and marketing technology ecosystem. This role focuses on website experimentation development and delivering optimized digital experiences for Delta.com, translating UI/UX designs into code deliverables that enhance customer experiences. This role will also support new software integrations and maintenance through tag management, and web analytics tagging.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for developing innovative digital experiences that drive positive customer sentiment across delta.com, while adhering to the latest programming principles related to website performance and security. You will collaborate with team members across Digital, Product, Loyalty, Marketing, IT, and Customer Experience teams to understand business priorities and present scalable solutions for customers. A successful candidate thrives in a work environment that requires strong problem-solving skills, independent self-direction, and team collaboration.
Responsibilities:
+ Develop new digital features/capabilities for both customers and internal Delta use.
+ Deliver rich and optimized digital experiences across Delta.com within reasonable timelines.
+ Partner strategically with internal product management, analytics, and external Delta partner teams to deliver web optimization A/B tests, web personalization, and analytics strategy.
+ Diagnose and troubleshoot development and production issues as they arise.
+ Identify and resolve issues to ensure smooth operation and high performance of digital tools.
+ Provide technical assessments and write code using the latest principles in JavaScript, CSS, and HTML.
+ Ensure the technical feasibility of UI/UX designs and optimize applications for maximum speed and scalability.
+ Contribute technical thought leadership to testing plans and reliably estimate delivery and level of effort.
+ Stay current with industry trends and changes/deprecations to existing tool sets by participating in educational opportunities, reading professional publications, maintaining personal networks, and participating in professional organizations.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)
+ Minimum 2 years’ experience working as a front-end developer or related experience.
+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with non-technical colleagues.
+ Proven track record of successful delivery, meeting deadlines, and working with stakeholders.
+ Must be hyper-focused on details, accuracy, and quality.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Ability to take initiative and be proactive.
+ Experience working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
+ Able to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
+ Proficient understanding of web markup, including HTML5 & CSS3, as well as DOM manipulation and client-side scripting.
+ Effective understanding and working knowledge of JavaScript, TypeScript, Angular and/or React, Vue.js or other frontend framework experience.
+ Good understanding of synchronous and asynchronous request handling, single page applications, AJAX, and progressive web apps.
+ Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.
+ Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.
+ Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.
+ Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.
What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
+ Understanding of browser nuances such as Intelligent/Enhanced Tracking Prevention and its impacts.
+ Experience with eCommerce, advertising technology, or marketing technology.
+ Experience with integrating data from multiple APIs to create a cohesive web experience.
+ Experience writing modular, reusable code highly desired.
+ Experience with tag managers such as Ensighten, Adobe Launch/Data Collection, Google Tag Manager, or Tealium.
+ Experience with A/B testing tools such as Adobe Target, Google Optimize, Optimizely, VWO, etc.
+ Proficiency in Adobe Experience Cloud tools, including Adobe Target, Adobe Analytics, Adobe RTCDP, and Adobe WebSDK.
+ Familiarity with Generative AI and AI agents, including the ability to understand and leverage AI for offer creation and optimization.
+ Experience with automation tools and techniques to streamline workflows and enhance productivity
