    About the Team

     

    Join a tight-knit and collaborative team based in our Fenton, Michigan facility, home to around 225 employees. As part of a group supporting our braking product lines, you'll work closely with engineers, maintenance, and skilled technicians to drive continuous improvement on the floor. This is a high-impact opportunity to shape processes, support new product launches, and make meaningful contributions to quality and efficiency. With additional growth planned in the facility, it's a great time to join and develop with us.

    What you can look forward to as a Controls Engineer

    + Identify productivity improvement opportunities.

    + Identify profit and machine utilization opportunities.

    + Identify, create & support project documentation including, but not limited to HMI, PLC programming, power distribution, control/signal wiring, wireless technology, cabinet/panel design, BOM and layout drawings.

    + Participate with and support engineering and manufacturing teams with technical expertise needed to resolve issues impacting our ability to provide a top-quality product in the most cost-effective manner.

    + Help launch new products and supervise installation of new software. Support machine runoffs.May require some travel.

    + Improve OEE by reducing faults, reducing scrap, and improving first run yield.

    + Integrate vision systems as needed for quality and throughput. Help integrate COBOTS, where applicable.

    + Communication with internal and/or external customers.

    Your Profile as a Controls Engineer

    + Minimum of three years’ experience in manufacturing.

    + Bachelor’s degree in Engineering.

    + Team oriented. Strong interpersonal & leadership skills.

    + Knowledge of Allen Bradley and/or Siemens products including PLC’s HMI’s and servo controls.

    + Ability to work in a multi-task environment.

    + Problem solving ability and decision-making skills.

    + Ability to remain flexible with job responsibilities.

    + Knowledge and use of computers and ability to learn computer software.
