We are looking for you to join our team as a Systems Engineer which will be full-time onsite in Clearwater, FL. As a Systems Engineer at Northrop Grumman you will have a challenging and rewarding opportunity to be a part of our Enterprise-wide digital transformation. The Systems Engineer is responsible for development and transition of the product throughout the production, maintenance, and sustainment phase of the program. The Systems Engineer ensures the integrity of engineering processes, and timely development of core engineering work products. The Systems Engineer interfaces with the Program Manager, Chief Engineer, Global Supply Chain Manager, other engineering team leads, as well as the customer.
What You’ll get to Do:
+ Support critical subcontractor for development and transition of the product throughout the production, maintenance, and sustainment phase of the program
+ Serve as a primary technical interface with the subcontractor on Engineering issues and questions.
+ Act as a technical reviewer of CDRL/SDRLs for quality assessment.
+ Act as an advisor to inter-organizational management and customers on subcontractor’s technical issues and challenges.
+ Support the Program Manager and Engineering Team to make well-structed decisions for program execution.
+ Prepare and present technical materials during major reviews such as Critical Design Review, System Verification Review, Test Readiness Review, and other program reviews as needed.
+ Track and report technical performance measurements.
+ Up to 10% travel to be expected (to customer, supplier, and other Northrop Grumman locations)
Basic Qualifications:
+ Bachelors of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 8 years of experience, a Masters of Science degree in a STEM discipline with 6 years of experience or a PhD in STEM discipline with 4 years of experience
+ Experience leading technical teams
+ Experience with Inertial Sensors or Systems
+ Demonstrated great communication skills
+ Strong Interpersonal skills
+ Understanding of DoD systems engineering requirements
+ Demonstrated Multi-Disciplinary Engineering exposure (Software, Hardware, Electrical) and strong ability to communicate cross functionally
+ Active DoD Secret Clearance
+ Ability to work onsite full-time in Clearwater, Florida
Preferred Qualifications:
+ Master’s degree or PhD in STEM or technical management
+ DO-178 and DO-254 process familiarity
+ Experience overseeing subcontractor on product development
+ Experience managing contracts of $10MThis position is contingent upon clearance.
Salary Range: $124,900.00 - $187,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
