Description

We are looking for a Procurement Specialist to join our clients' team in Houston, Texas, on a Contract-to-Permanent basis. This role is ideal for candidates with a background in procurement who excel in managing operational tasks rather than strategic initiatives. You will play a key role in ensuring the smooth flow of purchasing operations while providing first-line support for procurement-related inquiries.

Responsibilities:

• Process purchase requisitions (PRs) using the designated procurement system.

• Monitor and follow up on goods receipts (GRs) to ensure timely delivery and accurate documentation.

• Assist in resolving basic invoice discrepancies to maintain efficient payment processes.

• Provide first-level support for inquiries related to the procure-to-pay (P2P) process.

• Collaborate with internal teams to address procurement issues and improve workflows.

• Maintain accurate records of procurement activities and ensure compliance with company policies.

• Work independently to manage day-to-day procurement tasks with minimal supervision.

• Support the lead procurement specialist in operational duties as needed.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in procurement or a related field.

• Proficiency with ERP systems and procurement tools such as SAP, Coupa, 3M, or other enterprise solutions.

• Strong understanding of procure-to-pay (P2P) processes and invoice management.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Ability to work independently and manage tasks effectively in a remote setup.

• Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude.

• Must be based in the Central Standard Time Zone
