Description
We are currently seeking a highly-skilled Linux Systems Administrator with expertise in configuring and managing Ubuntu Servers. Ideal candidates will have a deep understanding of logging within this system and translating these logs into understandable insights. Additionally, candidates should have experience with Preboot Execution Environment (PXE) and a strong background in automation, including Ansible, and scripting with Bash, PowerShell, or Python.
Key Responsibilities:
+ Install, configure, and maintain Ubuntu servers.
+ Manage and monitor system performance, resources, and system/network security.
+ Regularly upgrade systems as required for enhanced functionality and security issue resolution.
+ Administer and maintain system documentation, logs, and reports, ensuring their accuracy and comprehensiveness.
+ Translate system logs into meaningful, actionable insights.
+ Configure and manage PXE for network-based software installations.
+ Assist in troubleshooting server issues and implementing necessary solutions.
+ Regularly assess and improve existing infrastructure systems and processes to ensure optimal performance.
+ Manage and administer system backups, ensuring data integrity and system efficiency.
+ Provide technical support and guidance for users and IT team members.
+ Develop and implement automation solutions using tools like Ansible to streamline system deployments, configurations, and routine tasks.
+ Write and maintain scripts using Bash, PowerShell, or Python to automate administrative functions and improve operational efficiency.
Requirements
• Minimum of 3 years experience in a Linux Systems Administrator role
• Proficiency in Ubuntu and Ubuntu Server
• Experience with PXE (Preboot eXecution Environment)
• Demonstrable competency in Linux System Administration
• Familiarity with Linux Technologies
• Ability to interpret and manage System Logs
• Knowledge of Security Protocols relevant to Linux Systems Administration
