Description
Robert Half is seeking a detail-oriented Accounting Clerk who excels in organization, accuracy, and adaptability. The ideal candidate will handle various day-to-day accounting operations critical to maintaining financial data integrity. Key Responsibilities:
+ Accurately process and manage accounts payable (AP) and accounts receivable (AR) transactions, ensuring all entries comply with company policies and procedures.
+ Reconcile bank statements, credit card transactions, and vendor accounts to ensure accuracy and resolve discrepancies promptly.
+ Prepare and maintain financial reports, spreadsheets, and other records in a timely and organized manner.
+ Assist with monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial close activities, ensuring deadlines are met.
+ Maintain accounting systems and help troubleshoot basic system-related issues when necessary.
+ Process customer invoices, track payments, and follow up on overdue accounts, ensuring clear documentation of all interactions.
+ Input and categorize financial data into accounting software systems, maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
+ Support audits by preparing documentation and responding to auditor inquiries.
+ Deliver exceptional support across internal departments, offering financial and administrative assistance as required.
Requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
+ Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is required; an associate or bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is a plus.
+ Experience: Minimum of 1-3 years of relevant accounting or bookkeeping experience preferred.
+ Technology: Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel; experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, SAP, or NetSuite is a plus.
+ Attention to Detail: Capable of maintaining accuracy while handling a high volume of tasks and transactions.
+ Communication: Strong written and verbal communication skills to liaise effectively with vendors, clients, and internal team members.
+ Organization: Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
+ Problem Solving: Adept at troubleshooting discrepancies and proactively resolving issues with minimal supervision.
