Description
We are looking for a skilled HR Generalist / Payroll Specialist to join our team in the Greenville area. This role focuses on managing payroll processes, administering employee benefits, and maintaining accurate HR systems while supporting various human resources functions. The ideal candidate will bring expertise in employee relations, compliance, and workforce management to ensure seamless HR operations.
Responsibilities:
• Oversee payroll administration and ensure timely and accurate processing of employee payments.
• Handle benefits programs, including enrollment, updates, and advising employees on available options.
• Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, providing guidance to employees and management.
• Address and resolve payroll and benefits-related inquiries and issues to enhance employee satisfaction.
• Maintain employee records in HR information systems, ensuring all data is accurate and up-to-date.
• Monitor and manage attendance records, including absenteeism, and take corrective actions when needed.
• Conduct orientations for new team members, ensuring proper onboarding and benefits enrollment processes are completed.
• Support health and safety initiatives by collaborating with the Health and Safety Coordinator.
• Organize and track employee training programs, ensuring records are up-to-date and compliance is met.
• Contribute to maintaining a union-free workplace by participating in employee committee meetings as necessary.
Requirements • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or a related field, or an equivalent HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
• At least 3 years of experience in a human resources role, with 2 years focused on payroll administration.
• Familiarity with multiple HR areas, particularly in a manufacturing environment, is preferred.
• Proficiency in HR systems such as ADP Workforce Now, Ceridian, or Dayforce.
• Strong skills in data analysis, decision-making, and problem-solving.
• Proven ability to resolve conflicts effectively and maintain a high level of professionalism.
• Exceptional organizational and planning skills, with a track record of implementing HR initiatives.
• Experience in FMLA administration and employee relations is highly desirable.
