Position Summary
Morehouse School of Medicine’s ( MSM ) Global Health Equity Institute is seeking a Program Manager. This position will lead community outreach strategies, including enhancing the institute’s online presence, and manage strategic initiatives such as the Annual Global Health Equity Summit and fundraising campaigns. The position will ensure the institute effectively communicates its impact to attract broader audiences and assist with securing essential funding for growth.
The Program Manager will also work in conjunction with Marketing and Communications to expand the institutions reach by increasing engagement and participation in the institute’s programs, events and summits to drive greater community involvement.
POSITION ACCOUNT ABILITIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS :
+ Responsible for planning, administering, reviewing, and evaluating all activities related to a program providing service and opportunities or facilitating projects for the Institution.
+ Responsible for program design and the development and implementation of program goals, objectives, policies, and procedures.
+ Develops strategies to achieve program objectives and goals; assists in the efficient operation of the program, setting priorities for management, budget, and fiscal activities.
+ Assists in the development and formulation of the annual budget; prepares budgetary documents and reports; oversees other budgetary data and information of the program.
+ Participates in writing and developing proposals.
+ Manage outward facing communications via various platforms to promote the Global Health Equity Institute’s missions
KNOWLEDGE , SKILLS , AND ABILITES :
+ Knowledge of principles and practices of project planning, development, and evaluation.
+ Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related federal, state, local laws, rules and regulations.
+ Knowledge of and ability to interpret and apply related institutional policies and procedures.
+ Ability to develop and implement policies, procedures, goals, and objectives.
+ Ability to prepare clear and concise reports, correspondence, and other written materials.
+ Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
+ Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships.
Supervisory Responsibilities
+ May supervise other employees within the department.
+ Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
Minimum Qualifications
+ Associate’s degree from a regionally accredited institution.
+ Minimum of two (2) of related experience in public health promotion, program coordination or other related discipline. Also demonstrated experience working in or with behavioral health systems and health policy. Vested interest in health equity.
Preferred Qualifications
+ Bachelor’s degree in related field.

Immunization Requirements
It is MSM’s Immunization policy that all Prospective Employees are encouraged to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID -19 prior to commencement of employment. If employment will commence during Flu Season, MSM requires all individuals to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless granted an exemption. Failure to provide proof of vaccination for any required vaccines or obtain an exemption from MSM will result in rescission of a candidate’s offer of employment or disciplinary action up to and including termination.
