    Overview

    **Position:** Occupational Therapist - Hand Therapist (CHT)

    **Location:** 5400 Shawnee Rd. Alexandria, VA 22312

    **Schedule:** Full-time, Mon-Fri

    **Compensation:** $82,000 - $100,000 (pending experience)

    **Incentives:** $20,000 bonus and our student loan repayment program of $350/month!

     

    Select Physical Therapy is seeking a full-time Hand Therapist, Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist, for our outpatient orthopedic center in Alexandria! Although a certified hand therapist (CHT) is preferred, we are willing to consider occupational/ohysical therapists with one (1) year of experience in hand therapy, which can include a level II fieldwork in hands. We have a network of hand therapists and CHTs available for support and are excited to mentor occupational therapists aspiring to be a CHT.

    Responsibilities

    + **Collaboration:** Supervise assistants and aides and contribute to case management.

    + **High Standard of Care:** Stay current and up to date with occupational therapy research and employ Evidence Based Practice (RCB,clinician expertise, patient perception).

    + **Personalized Treatment:** Provide comprehensive and individualized treatment, from evaluating and creating a plan of care to treatment and discharge.

    + **Relationship-Building:** Maintain positive level of interaction with centers and patients. Enhance and expand client relations with facilities and their staff.

    Qualifications

    Minimum Qualifications:

    + Graduate of an American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA) -accredited school of occupational therapy

    + One (1) year of experience in hand therapy

    + CPR certification

    + Valid driver’s license

    Preferred Qualifications:

    + At least two years of experience in the application of custom splinting pre and post-op orthopedic

    + Minimum two years in adult rehabilitation; hand and splinting experience preferred
