Working in close collaboration with Modality Intelligence Leads, Research Strategy Leads, and External Innovation Partners, the Innovation Intelligence Analyst contributes directly to shaping our Oncology Research portfolio by evaluating external opportunities—including novel platforms, academic findings, and biotech innovations—and supporting early-stage assessments that guide strategic decision-making.
Essential Job Responsibilities:
Competitive & Scientific Intelligence:
+ Continuously monitor and analyze external oncology developments, including pipelines, translational breakthroughs, academic publications, intellectual patent information, key congresses, and partnership trends.
+ Identify and synthesize signals from scientific and strategic sources across prioritized modalities and therapeutic areas in Oncology.
+ Deliver timely CI summaries, dashboards, and curated alerts tailored to internal Oncology Research and relevant stakeholders.
Support for Strategic & External Innovation Initiatives:
+ Collaborate with Modality Intelligence Leads and External Innovation Partners to support early-stage opportunity assessments and strategic reviews.
+ Contribute to the development of internal opportunity briefs, landscape analyses, and partner evaluation proposals.
+ Maintain structured intelligence tracking frameworks (e.g., for key biotech players, novel biology, novel modalities, or platform innovations).
Insight Generation & Strategic Support:
+ Provide data-backed insights to support research hypothesis development, modality prioritization, and portfolio strategy discussions.
+ Align outputs with broader Oncology Research Strategy and CI&RPM standards, contributing to intelligence quality and consistency.
+ Help maintain and evolve CI tracking systems, digital platforms, and best practices for intelligence gathering and dissemination.
Qualifications:
Required
+ Advanced degree (PhD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences, pharmacology, medicinal chemistry, bioengineering or related field.
+ Minimum 6 years of experience in pharmaceutical R&D, external innovation, academic collaboration, or scientific partnering.
+ Strong scientific foundation in drug discovery, ideally in areas such as immuno-oncology or targeted therapies in Oncology.
+ Strong analytical, synthesis, and communication skills; ability to present complex findings clearly to diverse stakeholders.
+ Experience gathering and synthesizing competitive intelligence using databases, literature, and digital platforms.
+ Familiarity with CI platforms, databases, and digital insight tools.
