    Job Title: Contract SpecialistJob Description

     

    We are seeking a motivated Contract Specialist to join our team. This role is pivotal in negotiating service agreements and optimizing contract outcomes. The ideal candidate will consult with end-user departments to identify business terms and facilitate bid processes while managing service contract renewals and providing consultative services to internal customers.

    Responsibilities

    + Negotiate service agreements using best practice guidelines.

    + Consult with end-user departments to identify relevant business terms to optimize contracts and outcomes.

    + Facilitate bid processes with supply chain coordinator and departments for any service contract renewals. This includes planning, scheduling, and document creation for all RFP-related activities.

    + Manage renewal notices for all service contracts and ensure that department input is included during contract renewals or termination.

    + Provide consultative and liaison services to internal customers by educating, informing, training, and assisting them with contractual needs.

    Essential Skills

    + Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in Healthcare or Business Administration; OR equivalent experience may be substituted for formal education at the rate of two years of experience for each year of missing education.

    + Minimum of three years of experience in contracting, purchasing, legal, or a related field required.

    + Prior supply chain or purchasing experience required.

    + Knowledge of Group Purchasing Organization (GPO) analytical tools and contracts required.

    + Knowledge of regulatory terms, HIPAA terminology, and general legal terms and conditions.

    + Skilled in collecting, interpreting, communicating, and presenting information in a clear, concise manner.

    + Proficiency in reading contracts, understanding legal terms, and redlining contracts.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Attention to detail will be verified through references and situational questions such as 'walk me through a time you caught a mistake' or 'walk me through a time you overlooked a mistake'.

    Work Environment

    You will work with a dedicated Contracts team, currently comprising two Contract Analysts, with plans to hire another. This position is 100% remote, and we provide the necessary equipment. The role offers flexible working hours, typically Monday through Friday, with most of the team working from 8 AM to 4:30 PM.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $37.00 - $37.00/hr.
