    Job Summary:

    The Clinical Education Manager is responsible for assisting in the design, implementation, and evaluation of education programs that promote clinical excellence and regulatory compliance at Bloom Hospice. Under the supervision of the Hospice Leadership, this role supports the orientation, competency, and professional development of clinical and non-clinical staff to ensure delivery of high-quality, compassionate, and compliant hospice care.

    Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

    + Assists in developing and leading onboarding and orientation for all new hospice team members, including RNs, CNAs, social workers, chaplains, and volunteers.

    + Ensures completion of all required compliance documentation, health screenings, and licensure verification during onboarding.

    + Implements annual education plans and ensures alignment with CMS, state regulations, CHAP standards, and internal policy.

    + Facilitates in-service training and continuing education for all hospice disciplines using evidence-based content.

    + Collaborates with the Hospice Leadership to assess team learning needs and support the organization’s performance improvement initiatives.

    + Assigns and tracks educational modules through the Learning Management System (LMS); monitors staff compliance and completion rates.

    + Maintains accurate and up-to-date education files, competency records, and licensure documentation per regulatory requirements.

    + Serves as a subject matter resource for hospice best practices, including symptom management, communication, and documentation standards.

    + Conducts 1:1 skills coaching and field mentorship with clinical staff to reinforce competencies and address identified education gaps.

    + Observes IDT meetings when requested to identify team training needs and opportunities for development.

    + Supports quality and compliance goals by participating in audit preparation, survey readiness, and related training documentation.

    + Assists in developing and distributing resource materials, including job aids, reference tools, and policy summaries to support frontline accessibility.

    + Utilizes various teaching modalities including in-person instruction, virtual platforms, and self-directed learning tools.

    + Evaluates education program effectiveness through surveys, feedback, and outcome-based metrics; adjusts content accordingly.

    + Participates in support of PIPs and QAPI initiatives as needed.

    + Promotes a culture of professional growth, clinical excellence, and continuous learning.

    + Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    + Registered Nurse (RN) or equivalent clinical licensure in the state of practice (required).

    + Certified Hospice and Palliative Nurse (CHPN) or relevant certification (preferred).

    + Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in hospice or palliative care.

    + Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in education, training, or leadership role.

    + Master’s degree in Nursing, Education, Healthcare Administration, or related field (preferred).

    + Demonstrated knowledge of adult learning principles and clinical instructional design.

    + Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

    + Experience with compliance documentation, licensure tracking, and regulatory survey preparation.

    + Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

    + Proficiency in Microsoft Office, LMS platforms (e.g., Relias), and virtual training tools.

    The salary for this position is competitive and commensurate with experience. The pay range for this role in the state of Colorado typically falls between $120,000 - $130,000 annually with the potential for performance-based bonuses and other benefits. Actual compensation may vary based on factors such as qualifications, experience, and location within the state.
