    Job Description

    Join a leading employee-owned electrical contractor in Omaha as an Electrical Apprentice. We are seeking dedicated individuals to assist in installing new electrical systems in residential homes, including wiring, circuit breakers, outlets, light fixtures, and appliance hookups. You'll have the opportunity to interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to plan wiring layouts in multi-family and new construction homes, custom homes, and executive homes. This role requires meeting attendance expectations, working efficiently, and bringing a team-first attitude.

    Responsibilities

    + Install new electrical systems in residential settings, including wiring, circuit breakers, and outlets.

    + Interpret electrical blueprints and schematics to plan wiring layouts.

    + Work on multi-family and new construction homes, custom homes, and executive homes.

    + Ensure daily responsibilities are accomplished efficiently in a team environment.

    + Perform conduit bending, installation, troubleshooting, and rough-in tasks.

    + Engage daily with homeowners and team members to deliver high-quality service.

    Essential Skills

    + Minimum of 2 years of electrical experience in a residential environment, including multi-family homes, apartments, duplexes, and quadplexes.

    + Ability to read a tape measure to 1/16th of an inch and perform basic math operations efficiently.

    + High school diploma or GED required.

    + Proficient in using basic hand tools, power tools, and performing electrical troubleshooting.

    + Capability to bend, twist, kneel, and climb ladders for 8 hours per day.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Prior experience with commercial or residential electrical crews.

    + Experience in roughing in electrical work, including pipe bending and pulling wire.

    + Finishing experience such as installing light receptacles and hanging lights.

    + Appliance installation experience.

    + Valid driver's license is preferred but not mandatory if transportation arrangements are addressed.

    Work Environment

     

    The work environment offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 7 a.m. to 3:30 p.m., with occasional optional overtime on Saturdays. We emphasize work-life balance and do not push excessive overtime. The dress code includes jeans with no holes, professional tee shirts, and work boots. PPE such as high visibility vests, hard hats, glasses, and gloves are provided. Apprentices are encouraged to work towards a Journeyman position, with the possibility of being provided a company vehicle.

    This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Omaha, Nebraska.

     

    Pay and Benefits

     

    The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $25.00/hr.
