    Job Title: Chemical Engineer

    Job Description

    We are seeking a skilled Chemical Engineer to lead new product and process introduction activities, including the production scale-up of new polymers and integration of updated processes into our manufacturing facility. This role involves close collaboration with chemists, operations teams, and tolling customers to ensure efficient production methods and seamless process assimilation.

    Responsibilities

    + Collaborate with chemists, operations, and tolling customers on product design and tooling for efficient production.

    + Discuss manufacturing capabilities, production schedules, and other considerations with management and engineering staff to facilitate production processes.

    + Conduct process improvement activities to enhance safety, quality, cost, operability, and regulatory standards.

    + Participate in debottlenecking of existing processes, and introduce new equipment or technology.

    + Steer factory output by understanding customer needs and evaluating operator interaction with processes and equipment.

    + Provide technical support for manufacturing operations and develop standard operating procedures.

    + Assist in designing, planning, and overseeing workers in constructing and improving equipment for commercial-scale chemical processes.

    + Contribute to the design, procurement, and implementation of capital projects.

    + Promote a culture of safety and environmental compliance.

    + Complete specific projects or responsibilities assigned by the Chemical Engineering Manager promptly.

    Essential Skills

    + Degree in Chemical Engineering.

    + Experience in scale-up and chemical process engineering.

    + Knowledge of chemical reaction processes.

    + Proficiency in handling products such as liquids, chemicals, polymers, acrylics, or polyurethanes.

    Additional Skills & Qualifications

    + Experience with Power BI.

    + Background in working with products like those at MillerCoors is advantageous.

    Work Environment

    This is a first-shift role, Monday through Friday, with flexible start times. You will work collaboratively across all departments, including R&D teams, chemists, engineers, maintenance staff, and operations personnel to implement new equipment and manufacturing processes. The role involves both lab and manufacturing floor environments, promoting a dynamic and interactive work setting.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $100000.00 - $120000.00/yr.

    Cost for these three can be anywhere form $5,000 to $15,000 per year based on the individual plan the employee takes.

     

    401k - 1st of the following month after 30 days of employment100% of first 3%

     

    Vacation (may be able to flex on this if someone needs three weeks starting out - not guaranteed)Two Weeks - 1-4 years of serviceThree Weeks - 5-14 years of serviceFour Weeks - 15+ years of serviceAlso receive 24 hours of PTO (not the same as vacation)
