    Description

    This role is responsible for providing strategic leadership, overseeing implementation, and driving ongoing improvement of specialty medicine programs within the Division of Emergency Medical Services to support the Community Health Program (CHP).

    Duties and Responsibilities

    + Clinical Integration: Ensures the safe integration of advanced clinical practices into field operations.

    + Stakeholder Collaboration: Collaborates with internal and external stakeholders to maintain clinical excellence and drive innovation across the system.

    + Patient Outcomes: Improves patient care outcomes by supporting system-wide advancements in clinical practices.

    + Advanced Care: Requires advanced clinical care experience in EMS, including specialty areas such as critical care, pediatrics, stroke, trauma, and cardiac care.

    + Regulatory Knowledge: Demonstrates knowledge of applicable federal, state, and local regulatory and accreditation standards.

    + Strategic Planning: Applies skills in strategic planning, development, and implementation of clinical programs.

    + Communication Skills: Communicates effectively through verbal and written formats, including the preparation of technical reports.

    + Operational Strategy: Translates clinical knowledge into operational strategies that enhance patient care delivery.

    + Leadership: Leads and mentors staff within a dynamic and evolving clinical and operational environment.

    + Confidentiality: Manages confidential information with discretion, integrity, and professionalism.

     

    Education, Experience, Licensing

     

    + Education and Experience: A Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Administration or Public Safety, plus two (2) years of experience in Public Safety, OR A total of six (6) years of experience in Emergency Medical Services (EMS) or a closely related field.

    + Driver's License: Possession of a valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record is required.

    + Preferred Experience: T wo years of experience in critical care, flight, or community paramedicine.

     

    Supplemental Information

     

    + Strong knowledge of healthcare security regulations, emergency preparedness, and risk management.

    + Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

    + Office work may require sitting for extended periods, working on computers, and making numerous phone calls.

     

    The workdays and hours are Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Retirees of the Investment Plan are eligible for renewed membership in the Investment Plan only. FRS reemployment rules apply for both.
