This vacancy is located in the Special Investigation Section in the Office of State Police located in East Baton Rouge Parish.
The Cyber Crime Manager position serves in the Louisiana State Police Cyber Crime Unit (CCU), which is located within the Special Investigations Section. The Cyber Crime Unit's mission is to provide accurately and timely threat intelligence, forensic analysis, and incident response, to prevent and mitigate cyber threats to Louisiana. The CCU leads State Police's effort to effectively identify and respond to cyber threats as well as provide investigative capabilities for cyber-crimes. Additionally, the unit supports the Louisiana State Analytical and Fusion Exchange (LA-SAFE), where they provide real-time cyber threat data and expertise to State and Federal agencies. The incumbent of this position will perform supervisory services designed to aid the CCU in fulfilling its administrative and investigative objectives.
Minimum Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Three years of experience in law enforcement, cybersecurity, intelligence, or investigatory work plus five years of experience in digital forensics examinations or cybersecurity; OR
Six years of full-time work experience in any field plus five years of experience in digital forensics examinations or cybersecurity; OR
A bachelor's degree plus five years of experience in digital forensics examinations or cybersecurity; OR
A bachelor's degree in computer science, cybersecurity, information systems plus four years of experience in digital forensics examinations or cybersecurity.

Job Duties and Other Information
This posting will be filled as a promotion of a current permanent classified employee of the Department of Public Safety only.
EXAMPLES BELOW ARE A BRIEF SAMPLE OF COMMON DUTIES ASSOCIATED WITH THIS JOB TITLE. NOT ALL POSSIBLE TASKS ARE INCLUDED.
Oversees intelligence analyses and dissemination of complex cyber-based criminal information through the intelligence cycle process.
Serves as liaison with other law enforcement and military intelligence agency representatives.
Provides guidance and input to appointed members of the Governor’s Cyber Commission.
Manages Louisiana Cyber Investigators Alliance cases; oversees the work of subordinates engaged in conducting analyses to support intelligence and evidence gathering for the prosecution of cyber criminals.
Manages planning and emergency response for ESF-17; oversees subordinates' efforts to triage and conduct analyses into large-scale cyber attacks.
Conducts outreach at schools, conferences, seminars, etc. to impart knowledge of cyber crime investigations and/or the criminal intelligence process.
Makes hiring decisions, sets goals and objectives, provides training, monitors work products, and evaluates performance of subordinates.
Reviews site inspection reports, intelligence reports, and detailed formal reports on cyber investigations, cyber vulnerabilities, threats and trends submitted by subordinates; directs subordinates on appropriate courses of action and discusses findings with agency management and other entities as needed.
Assists as needed with special investigations or intelligence analysis projects.
