THE POSITION
The Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) is seeking to fill the position of Administrative Officer 1 within its Risk Management office, specifically for the Dealer Audit Section as a Field Auditor. This role entails performing comprehensive administrative audits and conducting site evaluations of agent and messenger services, which encompass both online messengers and participants in the online registration program. The primary objective of these audits is to ensure that all processes and procedures align with the stipulations set forth in the Vehicle Code, relevant Department Regulations, and applicable contracts. DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This employee operates within the Midwest Pennsylvania region, encompassing Clinton, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, Bedford, and Fulton counties. Their primary responsibility involves conducting administrative audits and site evaluations of agent and messenger services, which include online messengers and participants in the online registration program. The goal of these audits is to ensure adherence to established processes and procedures in compliance with the Vehicle Code, Department Regulations, and relevant contractual agreements. In addition to on-site audits, the employee meticulously analyzes documentation to detect any fraudulent activities associated with title and registration policies. They are tasked with interpreting and applying the regulations outlined in agent and messenger contracts to guarantee that all operational policies and procedures are strictly followed. Furthermore, the employee performs comprehensive reviews of all financial documents related to the titling and registration of motor vehicles, ensuring that the appropriate fees are accurately submitted to the Department.

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
+ Full-time employment
+ Work hours are 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, Monday - Friday, with a 60-minute lunch.
+ Telework: This is a field position; you are required to work in the field conducting audits four (4) days per week and permitted one (1) telework day from home. In order to telework, you must have a securely configured high-speed internet connection and work from an approved location inside Pennsylvania, if you are unable to telework, you have the option to report to a field site to conduct audits.
+ Travel required and mandatory overtime.
+ This position may be eligible for alternate work schedule (AWS), upon successful completion of probationary period.
+ Salary: In some cases, the starting salary may be non-negotiable.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY
QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
+ Two years of experience in varied office management or staff work; and bachelor's degree; or
+ Any equivalent combination of experience and training.
Additional Requirements:
+ You must reside in Clinton, Clearfield, Cambria, Blair, Huntingdon, Somerset, Bedford or Fulton Counties.
+ You must possess a valid Class C Driver's license.
+ You must be able to perform essential job functions.
