    DESCRIPTION OF WORK

    As a Seasonal Park Maintenance Worker, your role will involve engaging in various manual tasks essential for the construction and upkeep of Raccoon Creek State Park. You will carry out maintenance activities either independently or in collaboration with a skilled worker, ensuring that the park remains in excellent condition. Your responsibilities will encompass repairing buildings and facilities, assisting with the maintenance and cleaning of vehicles and equipment, and constructing basic forms for cement work. In this capacity, you will utilize a range of tools related to carpentry, electrical work, plumbing, masonry, and more to effectively complete your assignments. Additionally, you will be tasked with maintaining the park's grounds, which includes mowing lawns, trimming weeds, transporting materials to dump trucks, and planting trees and shrubs. Furthermore, your duties will extend to general housekeeping within the park, which involves cleaning and restocking bathrooms, managing waste disposal, and performing minor repairs to ensure a pleasant environment for visitors.

    Work Schedule and Additional Information:

    + Full-time seasonal employment without benefits, 37.5 hours per week

    + Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Your work days will vary, including weekends and holidays.

    + Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

    REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY

    QUALIFICATIONS

    Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

    + One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or

    + An equivalent combination of experience and training.
