The Position
Information Technology (IT) Professionals analyze, develop, implement, maintain, and modify computer operations, systems, networks, databases, applications, and/or information security. Incumbents may perform duties in one or more IT specialization areas depending on the needs of the agency.
Office of the Chief Information Officer - Telecommunications Unit (Las Vegas, NV) The Office of the Chief Information Officer is seeking IT Professional III to join our Telecommunications Unit in Las Vegas. This role plays a crucial part in supporting Unified Communications (UC) and managing wire and cabling projects for State agencies. Key Responsibilities: Provide Unified Communications support while delivering exceptional customer service to State agencies. Assist with telecommunications installation projects, including site surveys, cabling, fiber installations, circuit setup, programming, and physical installation of telephony equipment. Coordinate with State agencies and vendor technical teams to ensure the successful deployment of UC equipment, phone lines, and circuits. To Qualify:
In order to be qualified, you must meet the following requirements:
Education and Experience (Minimum Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in computer science, management information systems, or closely related field and three years of professional IT experience relevant to the duties of the position which may include computer operations, systems administration, network administration, database administration, applications analysis and development, and/or information security, one year of which was at the journey level; OR one year of relevant experience as an IT Professional II in Nevada State service; OR an equivalent combination of education and experience as described above.

Some positions require work on evenings, weekends, and/or holidays
Skills Required
Telecommunications experience is required.
