The opportunity

Delaware North Gaming is hiring a full-time Houseperson to join our lodging team at Southland Casino in West Memphis, Arkansas. As a Hotel Houseperson, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily cleaning of hotel public areas, rooms, and restrooms in accordance with operating standards.

Pay

$15.00 - $17.00 / hour

What will you do?

+ Notify managers if major repairs or additions to building operating systems are needed

+ Requisition supplies or equipment needed for cleaning and maintenance duties

+ Strip, seal, finish, and polish floors and steam clean carpets

+ Drive vans, industrial trucks, and other vehicles required to travel to or to perform cleaning work

+ Remove dirty linens and transport clean linens to housekeeping carts and storage closets

More about you

+ 1 year working in the hospitality industry preferred

+ High school diploma or GED preferred

+ Working knowledge of various cleaning utensils, dryers, vacuum cleaners, tools, and fixtures

+ Ability to make simple addition and subtraction calculations

+ Must have a valid driver's license

+ Must be at least 21 years of age

Physical requirements

+ Frequent walking, standing, and kneelingfor the entire length of the shift

+ Use of hands to operate cleaning equipment and complete washing duties

+ Able to lift up to 50 pounds

+ Visual acuity is sufficient to inspect the cleanliness of rooms and surfaces

+ Working conditions include being regularly exposed to fumes and toxic or caustic chemicals
